I have d510 and really like it. The 3x optical along with digital zoom is great. Buy it now and get free 64meg card to go along with the 8meg that comes with camera.
It has many nice features and using regular alkalines I have found batter life to be good. Got mine for $399
Its a nice unit.

The cheapest I saw was about $290... However, I would be careful of which vendor you buy from; not all are equal in service and support...

They have lists of online stores and the current "deal" they have going. For instance, I just used a electronic coupon at Barnes and Nobles for $10 off of $40 (or something like that)... Pretty nice discount!

thanks for all the help, bought the olympus D510 yesterday. just right for me, not over cameraed. will not replace my minolta 35mm but sure is handy for quick pics. and seeing them right away. took a few shots today but i think i have to go to a lower setting, way to big a file for this forum. but i am still in the learning process. one thing tho! the instructions stink.

Betcha the camera came with some software you could use to do some editing on your photos. That same software will probably let you resize them to something suitable for TBN, too.

Hi Frank,

What software came with your Olympus camera...?

If you take pictures at the "best" setting on your camera, you can then use your software to "pick out the best part" of that large picture, "crop it", save it as a different picture and upload it to TBN... and the quality will stay super... versus taking the same picture at a lower grade/resolution and doing all the above...

MIKE,JOHN AND HARV: i just today figured out how to change the res. on camera. they print the instructions so small they think we all have the eye of a BIRD(could not resist) /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif but here is a shot of the entrance to where i work, remember now that this is buffalo!!! so it ain't too bad,
