Direction of flow from diverter valve

And I had no rear remotes open. Have 2, but tied up with TNT.

You could easily re-purpose that diverter valve to make an additional rear remote. Mounted with the solenoid pointed up, the left would be your input from an existing valve. The right side would be your "pass-through" back to lets say your tilt hoses. The face would be your new remote connection point. As soon as you applied power the solenoid would change the connections to the face connectors to use for your grapple connections lets say. As soon as you removed power the valve would control the tilt function at all times without using any power.

I actually thought about that, and I'd make the grapple primary, tilt, secondary (power to the valve). BUT...it does work the way I have it, just backwards on the controls, and my control is back to the rear remote handle. I'm finding with last grapple use, I wasn't making as many errors, so I'm leaving it the way it is for awhile. Besides, I think I might be wearing the treads out on the hoses with all the changes I've made.....the last is to put the QDs back....needed to put bucket on for awhile.

OK......

What do you mean your control is back on the remote valve.

I thought you were using the FEL valve for the grapple.

I thought you were using the FEL valve for the grapple.

That was in reference to Ku0a's post about putting the diverter on the rear...it would put my button on the rear remote handle. Got mine on the fel handle, and that's were it stays.

SSDoxie commented....A grapple cylinder will not retract when used in Regen mode. This is not due to volume of oil moving but is due to difference in piston area surface differential on each piston. Base end has more area thus more force so when in Regen both sides are equal, the piston will move outward. . . . . .JC, you can use the grapple the way you want to plumb it you just have to figure out where the lever position is in "dump" without being in Regen mode.

I found that true. I left grapple open on one hookup, I was able to lower the grapple (extract cylinder), but once lowered, couldn't move it. I cannot find any spot in the lever where I can even hint at a move of the grapple, so I guess getting out of regen on this tractor doesn't happen.

Have you considered removing the regen parts?

They are under the can on the bottom of the curl spool.

The Prince rep said there should be no difference when you shift hoses. .

Prince loader valves can be used with out regen. It just has a spring center kit under the can.

That is why I asked someone else with regen and grapple to just switch hoses on the cyl, and test.

From what you are telling us, I believe you to be right. If you don't have a "detent" area, where the spring pressure increases and you definitely feel the change in the joystick handle.. Then you are kinda stuck with the way it works.. They say it takes 2 weeks to develop a habit. You only have a week to go.:D

It would not be the button, it would be a on-off switch for the Tilt function that you most likely don't use when the grapple is on the FEL.

The grapple would use C1 and C4, tilt connected to C2 and C3. Turn on the switch when using Tilt, leave the switch off for the grapple.

Some guys have made a mechanical extension lever closer to the Joystick, to operate the grapple from a rear remote.

Your port designation do not jive with the picture above.

Other people have had this same problem.

What pressure do you see when using the grapple normal mode.

What pressure do you see when using grapple reversed hoses?

If there is no flow when the lever is moved, then something is blocking the flow, and the relief should activate.

Thanks J_J, I corrected it.

My memory failed me again! :D
