funny thing is...the TYM is using a cat or perkins engine....but even those are produced overseas.....oh well, i guess as long as it runs. My yanmar diesel has worked flawlessly for 14 years...not a glitch in site

personally.....i believe that NO ONE KNOWS which company will be around in the future

I'm inclined to agree with this in a way...but I do believe that JD, NH, Kubota, and a few others will be around for a while longer. Also believe that Kioti and Mahindra are going to stick around for a while, too (if I was buying new, those are very likely two brands I'd look at).

The thing about Chinese tractors...sure they are cheap, but they can also have QC issues like many Chinese produced products we see in the US. The Chinese can make a quality product, you better believe it. The thing is will they apply that to products made for the foreign export market? China doesn't give a crap about reputation so long as they do plenty of large volume business (because there will always be customers, or at least suckers looking for the absolute cheapest product), hence they have little actual incentive for improvement.

i never even looked at the chineese tractors. i bought a Jimna (chineese) wood chipper 3-4 years ago, and i was surprised that its actually a well made piece of equipment ....after you throw out the water like oil they sent with it... It has served me well, and works flawlessly. Mind you i dont use it 5 days a week. if i were in business using it, id have stuck with a more recognisable brand.
