Rather than second discing at ninety degree angle, try cutting across your field at forty-five degrees, relative to initial pass.

This may chop the deepest sods better. Works well for me discing old pasture in Florida.

When you have time for more photos how about describing the gang angle adjustment process on your disc? Photos may do it.

I use wax lube or Fluid Film on the box frame to make changing gang angles on my 587 pound Howse disc easier.

Photo #2 shows smooth result; no troughs. Good adjustment.

Glad the larger disc is working out well for you with the 3720. The key is the type of soil you are working with --- "well-tilled fine sand/sandy loam" ---- probably the easiest to disc.

How about an update on how the Land Pride DH2572 is working out for you?

I can see in your picture you have 20 notched discs. Did you buy DH2572 with 20" or 22" discs?

Is the gang angle adjustment essentially the same friction/clamp plate method as on my lighter Howse, but with the addition of a grab handle? Or does the DH2572 have a more convenient/faster way to adjust the gang angles?
