What is the ideal speed you run the transport discs?

Re: Disc Mfg\'s ???

I don't know the mph anymore but I have the 8x8 in my TN and I usually run in 3 or 4 low depending on if I am in level fields or a hillside. You can run faster after the fields get knocked down a bit. I can cover around 4-6 acres and hour.

Re: Disc Mfg\'s ???

Read your bio. If you've got 75acres pasture you want to disc, I would say transport, also., Might be a little awkward for gardening though. Soil type has a lot to do with how disc engage ground and what width. The hopping around your hearing about is probably in clay. I can sink my 3pt to the axles with heavy draft in my sandy loam. I've got a rack for 55gal barrel I fill when needing extra weight for chopping roots etc .
