Rotary Cutter disconnecting mower from 1025R

Just got JD 1025R with backhoe and mower. When taking off mower can I disconnect the 3 pt hitch from tractor and leave it attached to mower?? I need to take it off to attach backhoe and this would save me a step.

When you say disconnect the 3 PH, do you mean the PTO shaft?

No, I am thinking of disconnecting mower where 3 pt attaches to tractor instead of disconnecting mower from 3 pt and then taking 3 pt off tractor. I need to take 3 pt off in order to attach backhoe.

So you want to remove the top link and the two lower link arms when you remove the mower.

Nope, remove mower, first then take off the top link and then the lower link arms. you can always set the top link and lower link arms next to the mower so they do not wander off. Make sure the top link pin is in the top link so that it stays with the top link.

dealer says to disconnect mower then disconnect 3pt hitch. trying to do in 1 operation is asking for problems in reconnecting..
