Disintegrating Blades

I'm lucky to get 50-60 hours out of a set of blades on my 72 inch deck. Too many roots, stumps, dirt and rocks. I don't know how strong your deck is. But I drive up and over mine when I remove it and install it.

I mow an extremely wet yard in the back but have experienced very little build-up compared to my previous 44-R deck. I used to clean it every month but the 54 inch has gone 2 years between cleanings. I just applied 2 coats of POR-15 last month so I'll see if that helps any.

Your power washing the deck when you mow. I have section of my field like that too. When I go through that area with my 72 inch deck. It looks like a steam engine coming out of the discharge chute.
