Since you guys post so many interesting projects in which you use your tractors, I have been considering posting a series of "project" posts on exhuming bodies - with photos and including modifications of BH bucket to avoid ripping up the body, how to find a grave with no headstone and no maps showing where the deceased is actually buried, putting up 70' of temporary privacy fencing in a few minutes, specialized tools used, etc.. Since I will need to edit pics for size, take some pics of tools used, etc., I wanted to see if anyone is interested before I spend the time to put it together??????

Go for it. It is always interesting to learn something new and what you might show could be useful to someone else down the road.

For four years, in our small town area, I've been on the other end and use to do all the openings. Last year a bunch of young guys decided to run for cemetery commision and also decided to do all burials.. Fine by me. I would be interested myself seeing the oppposite, disinternments and what has to happen..

I'd enjoy seeing the process too...up to but not including the final point where the object is pulled out of the ground... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Unless it is still in a box...then that would be /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif too...

Hope you find the time to do it, JEH

Man,
Does that ever sound interesting (he said in his morbid, voyeuristic side).
Of course only for educational reasons.

Grim, I just finished reading a book you might enjoy. Stiff , the Curious Lives of Human Cadavers. My interest in this subject comes from a slightly different source than yours. My dad was an anatomist and taught Gross Anatomy which of course, involved dissection of human cadavers. I heard an interview with the author of the book and was intrigued by the combination of science and humor.

Regarding your offer to post photos of your work, I'd certainly be interested... from a tractor perspective of course /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
