Hello All,
I just got a 5 foot disk with 2 rows of disks, and do not have a clue about how to use it. It appears adjustable, the disk rows, but how should I position them?
I do not know if this is enough info to get a good answer or not, but just let me know

Thanks all in advance,
Rick

If it has notches to set the angle of the blades set the rear one setting less aggressive than the front setting. use aggressive setting for weeds and grass less for open dirt.Adjust the top link so the rear does not cut as deep as front to make ground smooth. Remember to lift before turning as they can break if forced side ways.

Start with them almost straight ahead, i.e. one position away from straight on the rear and two positions away on the front.

You didn't ask this, but DO USE SPEED when disking.
If you go too slow the disks will just roll over the clods and not slice them, wet mud will also stick to the disks if you go too slow.
Not that you should be disking in mud, but sometimes Ya gotta do what Ya gotta do when Ya gotta do it (-:

If you are disking rows disk the direction of the rows first and for your last disking do so the direction you will run the rows.

The comment on speed agree with it for most part but play with the speed as suggested on the angle of the gangs. If disking hard dirt you often have to slow down so the disk will not just ride on it, same for thick grass.

I Love It!

I've been guilty in the past of buying things (including a disc) without being sure how they even work. :D Learning is half the fun! Good luck!
