ben, just tell him it will cost him $100 a year to store each vehicle . I had a similar experience with cleaning all the trash on my property left by the previous owner. My place is now trash free!

would not work as he is kin to the wife, he would not pay up.
when we bought the place I had all possible parties tour the place and claim all the vehicles they wanted, one guy said he did not want any of them, but a few months latrer a guy showed up looking for a truck part and said xxxx had sent him over. I told him he could gladly have the part but had to take the whole truck

I drain my old oil filters well (overnight) and put them in the trash.

My son takes all the batteries he can find and gets about $1 each from the recycler. I use the waste oil to paint my barn.

I'm on vacation, so everything is moving at a slow pace. I just got around to opening yesterdays mail. Got an Auto Zone add. Now NORMALLY, that would be used to start a fire in the fireplace without so much as looking at it.

I'm not a big Auto Zone fan. (I'll let it go at that )

For some unknown reason, I decided to take a look at their add. I don't know if this applies to ALL their outlets, but the one here in our little town will take used oil. (at no charge)

Sam's Club now charges a $7.00 core charge for new battries - you get it back when you bring in the old one. I expect this is a trend that will expand, much to my chargrin. I still haven't gotten a single $7 back after 3 batteries. They sit in a pile outside my garage - someday I'll get rid of them all...

Car tires get left at wherever I buy new ones. Dirtbike tires go to the curb - the trash truck will pick them up.

Waste oil - I just came up with a new plan for this stuff yesterday, but haven't started yet. This is where I am the most brilliant:

I'll jump all of my waste oil into a single hole in my yard. In 20 years or so, when I am ready to retire, I am going to dig into that spot, hit an oil deposit, then sell my property to Exxon for (Dr. Evil mode 'on') One Billion Dollars...

Well I had to buy a new batt. this weekend, I had one old wally world everstart, and 2 other off brands. Walmart would only take the store brand for core when I bought the new. Went across street to Auto-zone to see if they offered anything on other 2 junkers "no, we won't give you anything for them, but you can leave them here if you like". I said no thanks, went by a batt. recycler in Dallas on the way home from work, got a dollar a piece for them.

Used oil goes back to purchase place, for me usually the local NAPA. In MA anyway, anywhere that sells oil must take it back for free.
Filters get drained, and thrown out with the trash.

I save up oil in 5 gallon tractor transmission fluid jugs then take it to autozone they have a large tank for used oil..


batteries i sell at a local scrap yard. They used to be 50 cent each but now they do it based on weight
