Ditch digging tool complete

New post here to show the new attachment. I had some 6" wide 1/4" plate laying around. I welded three together to get a total 18" wide. The outer two are cut at 45 deg to get the ditch shape. On the lower 6" I bent it forward 45 dep to help it pull itself down.

Here is a back view. I reenforced the blade with an additional 6x1/4 plate forming a triangle. Then I welded some 1 1/2 x 1/4 to stiffen it.

And last, the ditch! I did have to add weight, 4 5-gal buckets of gravel. Since I used the grader blade frame, I have the angle adjustment. I might add a small blade to direct the dirt a little farther from the ditch

That's a fine looking ditch. I envisioned the terrain to be much steeper and rockier for some reason. Nice job.

The photo just does not get the slope, 30+ percent. The ditch on the other side yieled several limestone pc as large a concrete blocks and bounced over some very large stuff.

My drive is long 600-700 ft. It goes down a steep slope to a creek and then back up to the house site. So I have hills coming and going!

Aw Jim, you're just used to Vermont where everything is steep and rocky!
