In the customization forum, check the post re The Surplus Center. Looks like the most economical valve so far. Who's going to be first to try it on a PT?

I lost my surplus center catalog /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif and they don't have a website.

I saw a valve at Northern for <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/LLCategoryDisplayView?storeId=6970&langId=-1&catalogId=4006970&PHOTOS=on&TEST=Y&productId=469103&categoryId=0>click here</A> but I am not sure which one would be the right one. They have 12V 16GPMs for $99.00, but I don't know which one to use to get two functions from one valve. Any thoughts?

MossRoad:
I think one of those valves might work, but I don't think they're diverters. They only have four ports instead of the six on a diverter. If you put an open center dual solenoid valve in series with the aux PTO, however, with a rocker switch on the joystick, you could open and close a grapple just with the rocker, without moving the joystick, and, unlike my diverter, you could roll the bucket at the same time, since the circuit would be in series instead of a complete diversion.

Hey MR:

I think you'd need two of those (if it's indeed the right thing)...

They also neglect to mention in the catalog that you need a manifold plate(or something like that) at additional $$.

I don't know about you, but I'm barely coordinated enough to move the bucket in one direction at a time...I'd get thoroughly confused (and probably knock half the house down) trying to do two hydraulic functions at one time! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
