First TBN Power Trac Owner

I pretty much run it at full throttle all the time when doing just about everything. I find the hydraulics are most responsive when the throttle is up. I've found that most of my time is spent doing loader work. I need the power to push into the material, to lift and to run it to where I'm going. The tractor doesn't seem to mind. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It is true, my name was WillingtonPizza before I bought my PT and after I felt like I needed to change my name to a more PT friendly name. Even though I do not write much on TBN I do check it at least every other day.

Does anyone know what's happened with Hans? He used to be such a regular contributor to this site and just seemed to disappear. I checked his activity the other day and he has posted just once since May. I know some people either get too busy, tire of seeing the same questions posed by newcomers or, occassionally, get their feathers ruffled over something. Just wondering.

Hans is alive and well, but far too busy. I think he's praying for the return of the drought.
I don't think he's tested it yet, but he has modified one of the acrease wing mowers to go on the front of his PT425. That way there is a separate motor just to run the blades, and no drain on wheel power on hills.
And the man who did the conversion put shafts and a seat on it and towed it around his Pennsylvania shop with his road horse. Took a while for the horse to get used to the noise from back there. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Yeah, Hans has mentioned that he actually uses his PT to make a living and only posts when he has time. Unlike us, who seem to have plenty of time to post. Hmmm, I better get back to work! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

yes, i am alive and have experienced another of what not to do, start a new service (buy expensive equipment) unless you have the work. the weather has been such that my new topdresser and the service were not needed, except four times. not a good return on investment of a $5000.00 topdressing machine.
oh well, for the last two years we been cutting grass until the first snow storm. this year we are at 99 inches of grass growth and still one more cut coming this week on about 15 larger properties.
yes, the green machine has greatly reduced my manuel labor cost, especially during tree removal and leaf cleanup work.

I'm curious how you are using the power trac for leaf cleanup, as I have major leaf issues in my area, too.
