please keep everyone informed on your projects.

This is one of the reasons why I was looking to add the 3rd function to my tractor. Just got done plumbing it all in and everything works according to plan. Tonight I will park in on the cement floor and tomorrow I will check for any drips that may show up. But I see no obviously leaks as of yet. Next up the hyd. chute deflector on the front mount snow blower.

Couple of Achers,

You now have inspired me to begin another project over the winter months, I have beenn looking into building a grapple but didn't want to go thru the hassle of trying to hook up a solenoid for the grapple or other front mount implements, I thought of what you did in the past but wasnt sure if it would work or not, but now I know it will.............

My wife is so happy I want to start another project, she is still wore out from the cab build. :D:D

SWEET.

What kind of blade do you have on your L4330? I am in the market for a hyd. offset blade but the only one I can seem to find is a great big 8' blade made for cat1/cat2 three point hitch. I've tested one out but since it is made for a taller tractor, with my 3pt. all the way up it was only 6-8 inches of the ground. I could raise it further with the hyd. top link, but it didn't work well when it was off set. I can find manual offsets ones that will work but I would like find a 7' hyd. offset for a cat 1 hitch. Not one for a cat 1 or cat 2 hitch.

My RB is a Land Pride RBT-35, 8' and I can raise it high, as you say, with the hydraulic top link ...as for the cat-1/cat-2 issue, I don't see the problem ...works fine on my cat-1 machine.

I have a Leinbach 7' manual (which I'd be happy to sell) and although I haven't looked closely at it lately, I don't see why you couldn't put a hydraulic cylinder on the offset ...

The reason I went with 8' and the Land Pride, which advertises 30" of offset, was to get well outside my big rear Turfs so I can ditch without driving in the ditch. It is heavy, though. Incidentally, I have a "cushion valve" on the angle circuits to avoid serious strain if I catch something immoveable. Another feature I find very useful is the hydraulic tail wheel ...comes in handy if I use it to clear snow and don't want to lose my gravel. This caused another complication: when the tail wheel wants to kick the blade up it fights the top link ...so, I use a "swinging top link" (actually the HF top link, which is much discussed here) ...see the pix

Couple of Achers,

Some hydraulic motors are built with a case drain, and sometimes they call that bypass fluid. It also helps to cool the motor, and the output goes back to reservoir.

I have the same system for the hydraulic motor on my hedge trimmer, had to add a small direct return to sump (red arrow).
