DIY Carry All

Scrap metal, time and some electricity... I didn't want my carryall to be tied to the tractor so much. So I made mine in two pieces, I can drop the tools off and use the tractor for other things.

Question about your toplink connection... do you have a hydraulic top link to slide into that slot?

no mine is not hydraulic, it has the adjustable threaded type of top link. i can drop it and have it disconnected pretty quickly, as long as it takes me to pull 3 lynch and bar pins and its off.

John Deere, if that is a belt driven tiller what do you hook it to.

It came off my Simplicity 5008 lawn tractor. I have 2 other lawn tractors just like it that it fits to as well. It was just heavy enough where I figured why not use my tractor to move it? :D I would have just used the forks to pick the whole lawn tractor up but my Yanmar wouldn't do it, probably because I had the telescopic lower links on. I went and put on the originals though to run my bush hog so I will have to try again. They weigh about 350 pounds total.

Must be cause the wrong links were on it and it was out to far. Even yours should pick up 350 easy. I know my ym2000, yes its bigger, i think easily pics op 800+ lbs.

oh by the way the 3PH wont pick up a 4'x5' hay bale it just sits there. pity because it would have made life a bit easier.... oh well

I made this one for carrying my chainsaw, gas, log chains, etc. Works good, it attaches to my weight bar frame with a single pin. Easy on and off. Made from 2x2x1/4 angle and plywood bottom. Bungie cords hold the stuff on it.

Looking at your pic of the hydraulic cylinder for your carry all. How is that operated? I have thought about this and have only owned my tractor for two weeks, so all this is new to me. I like the idea.

Search for TnT or Top and Tilt or Hydraulic top link and you'll have hours for reading... Look at the thread in my signature for more details... It's really nice. I just finished leveling an area for a camper it this made it easy....
