From the time when I worked construction with end dumps and as a loader operator I observed many rules for loading and dumping which will be practiced with this small dump trailer. I have seen trucks on their sides (dumping on a side hill), trucks sitting on their butts (putting a stump in so that it stopped the dirt flow out), and some exciting wheelies from forgetting to open the tailgate. These are all operator errors but not faults of the equipment--without trying very hard we all can get hurt doing something stupid or just not paying attention to what is going on.
I have one correction to make--I said that there is a balance point beyond which the hitch will "pop up," but that is not exactly right in that it does not come up quickly--it is more a slow rise. However, today I eliminated even that by mounting a spare top link between the top link on the tractor and the ball hitch. That totally eliminated any possible movement upward of the 3 pt. It does not eliminate the hitch coming off the ball, but it does keep the hitch stable in one position.
