Started working on the brake pedals assy.
I found 3 pieces of tube that fit snugly inside of each other, 2 were DOM and 1 CREW. Then I drilled a 1/4" pilot hole thru the frame rail.

I then got out the portable mill... and hole sawed a hole in the rail. Then cut a piece of the large tube to the correct length and welded it in the rail.

With the master cylinders jiged up I cut a piece of the middle size tube to the correct length.

Using some 1/4" plate I roughed out some pedal stalks, clamped them together and drilled a 1/4" pilot hole.

After hole sawing a hole the size of the middle tube I tack welded the stalk to the tube. Notice the tube is resesed a little in the stalk, this is so I can resess the weld a little, then grind/sand flat so the other pedal stalk can move smoothley against it.

After cutting the smaller inner tube to the correct length I welded it to the outer pedal stalk. Here you can see the stalks and tubes all slid together.

You can see the stalks fit snugly against each other. This is so I can pin them together if I want.

I need to get some zerks, so I can thread the tubes befor I continue.

I bought some clevis and made some tabs to activate the master cylinders. Welded on tabs, notice the zirks.

I drilled and taped some holes in the side of the frame rail to bolt the master cyls to. Here it is all assembled.

I'm going to wait to put the pedals on when I get the seat positioned. That way I can get the pedal angle correct.

This is absolutely one of the best threads in a long time! I have sent the link to many non-tractor types. I think it is Zerks, by the way... maybe from the Zerk company or some such? Sorry to be picky, but that's about all I can add to such a great piece of work.

Nice. Having split brakes will be nice, eh?? :)
Thanks,
Yes I think they could come in handy.
Those seats are decent and should be fine for your application. I replaced the OEM seat on a Ford 4000 with one like in the link. It held my butt just fine with no issues.
Thanks for the advise, I just ordered one.
TSC sells the same seat
Yes they do, but my link has free shipping!

Ha!! If that's the least of my grammar errors I'm in great shape!:D
( If you notice I spelled it correct one time, then misspelled the second time!)

Thank you

I got my seat today, Woo Hoo one day shipping! I had no idea they were located in Yakama.

I'm trying to decide on a good seat height. I have quite a range to work with.
Do you think it is better to sit higher ( better vision?) or lower ( more secure feeling?)?
Thanks, Tim
