HI
I built this pushbox for the front of my B2320. I used old steel from a scrapyard for the sides, and three pieces of angle for the frame. The skin of the box is repurposed from the bottom of a used 200 gallon home heating oil tank. I drew a sketch on my garage floor and then in sketchup to see what it would look like. Showed it to my father who recommended I extended the mounts down to the main angle at the bottom which would double as a cutting edge. When it was all done it looked ok. Forgive the ugly welds and rough edges - I am an amateur

Looks good from where I’m sitting. The only different to add might be a cutting edge on the top so you could roll the plow over and use that edge to back drag away from doors.

My only recommendation is to clean,, CLEAN CLEAN the inside, then primer and paint the inside.

Where I live, snow LOVES to stick to rusty surfaces,, compared to smooth painted surfaces.

My sketchup drawing has the cutting edge, I plan on adding one as soon as I can get back to the scrapyard. The inside is not painted as it is still covered in sooty(from cutting and welding) heating oil. I figured after a winter of plowing, that it would be clean and I can paint next spring. Rattle can orange for now..

The issue is that with a box it does not get the scouring action that a plow does as the snow is not sliding across the surface. Therefor it does not see the cleaning action snow gives a blade. However with a box it really likes to pack in there. If the surface is not smooth it will be much harder to get off.

that makes a lot of sense, but it's too cold outside to use the sandblaster, so waiting for spring, I guess.

I finished it off today with a cutting edge I bought at the scrapyard. It was worn, however, so I reversed it for a straight edge, then I backed with 2X1/4 inch flat bar to give more volume capacity. This also covered up the worn curve (sneaky, I know). I was thinking a sharp cutting edge really wasn't necessary. If it doesn't work well, I'll grind it next summer. I'm pretty sure the testing department will be pleased with the results and determine this is not needed ;).
The fluid film is probably a good way to go, I think I'll try that - Thanks Mr. Stan

Looks great, my in-laws use a spray wax on their plows and blowers (fwiw) Where’s the snow to try it out?
