I have about 38 hours on my new tractor and while using the front loader (KL1450) the unit began to act up. I can lift it but when I go to let it down, it begins to make the noise that you get when you have too much weight on it to lift and it won't go down. Even after shutting it down, the bucket will still not go down to the ground. If I play with it a bit and hit it quickly up and then down, it will drop an inch or two at a time while running. Any suggestions? I appreciate any help I can get....

It almost sounds like one of your loader hoses quick couplers may not be attached all the way since you hear the relief valve when lowering the bucket.
At least that would be the first thing I would check.

maybe one of the cable's in the joy stick came apart.

this happened on my 45 after about 15hrs.

it way easy enough to take apart and fix. a little locktite has kept it from happening again.

I, too, would suspect that the joystick cable is the problem as it sounds like you're only getting a partial pull on the cable.
Best to get your dealer involved on this warranty issue, but you can check it out by lifting up the boot and following the cable linkage. It will be fairly apparent if there's a problem there. John

Your loader control won't have any cable linkage like what is on the CK's or larger DK's. Your loader control lever is attached directly to your loader control valve. Under the RH side of the tractor there is a valve block where the hoses that go to the loader control valve get mounted. There is a flat screw that can be turned vertical or horizontal. Make sure that it is straight up and down. Also make sure your Quick Couplers on your tractor on tight. Might disconnect and reconnect them. We have had some strange things happen when they are not tight. We didn’t get any leaks but got odd performance.

Right again Jon. I keep forgetting that not everyone gets to have their joysticks right on the fender! John
