Odd. I go to this page:
www.michironandequip.com/pages/OemParts
and walk down the "Find Parts by Model" menus. There is no need to log into anything.
Here is an example. Say I want a starter switch for my DK45HSE. And I answer the search questions until I get down to electrical and do not break it down any farther as I have no idea what group something is in. If I know the terminology of the database and it is "switch, starter" (or starting), it comes up pretty close with four returns. Now I am stuck because I do not know which of the four items might be correct. This response is pretty close but nothing I can order a part from, which is my goal.
Although if I know they are in group 1, I can easily scroll through Group 1 and find it is item 8 and there are two parts for item 8. It is nice they highlight/list the current part number, which of course my static parts manual is behind on.
However, lets say one does not have a parts manual to look at beforehand and now does the same entries as before and gets down to "Electrical" and stops there as one has no clue which option group to select to further narrow down the search criteria and one does not know the exact nomenclature of the part. So I am in "electrical" and search for, say- "starter switch", and it comes back with a list of 20 items, of which half are starter switch or similar. So I can't order a part from this either. And ordering a part is my goal.
I think MIE has done a great job trying to automate this parts list and I give them an "A" for spending their time and money to do so. Or to spend the money with Kioti to purchase an online version and allow us to use it for free. So my point is using the MIE online parts manual is not as simple as typing in a part for a specific model tractor and having it regurgitate a singular response from the parts manual. I mean, 10 different "starter switch" hits is a bit much for me. Since I have a parts manual, I can relatively easily find what I need down to a certain parts group and then go to the MIE site. But I had no success prior to having the parts manual in my possession as I had no clue how to drive the search engine and my eyes got crossed trying to go through all of the groups. I just found it easier to call MIE or my dealer for the part. And as a bonus, my dealer has the serial number of my tractor and has used that in the past to define specifically which part out of several was the correct one.
I do support folks who support me and I have spent some quality dollars at the MIE web site. It is the best Kioti site I have discovered. I just find it easier to pick up the phone and call either MIE or my dealer and have the part(s) sent. So either I am supporting MIE who has done more than any other firm to support the Kioti owners online or I support my dealer who has provided me with no less than 100% support. Win-win for myself and the dealers.
