What should I do? I can't decide if I should get the dk35 or lk3054. I live in SC and have about 37 acres. I will be maintaining a long driveway (1500ft), doing some food plot clearing and maintance, and doing yard work including moving dirt and landscaping around the house. The land is respectfully hilly but nothing extreme. I have looked at the packages from O'bryans and love the prices for what you get. I just can't decide, I would love to go big, but how much differance is realy between these 2 wonderfull tractors?

The open platform of the DK series is certainly nice. I would walk away from any tractor with the gear shift between my legs after having an open deck. I believe the LK 3054 is almost history. Kioti is taking the DK series down to the smaller units. If I went to the 3054, I would sure expect a good discount.

Ted made a good point about the open platform. I'm a pretty good sized guy (6'1" and +- 230lbs.), and I didn't have any trouble getting on and off the DK35 I test drove. Granted, I haven't climbed aboard a 3054, but I have climbed around other brands with gear levers between the legs, and it can be downright awkward getting on and off. And these were the larger 35hp to 45 hp machines.

If you're at the point where you're just about equal in your feeling for both tractors, then I'd suggest you try to work out some time on each one. Try to use each one the same amount of time (a couple of hours or more if possible) and doing the same tasks. After you're done, you should have a pretty good idea of which one you wouldn't mind sitting on all day. After all, you're the one who's going to be looking forward to, or dreading, getting on your tractor! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I was originally looking at the 3054.
But once I tryed the DK35 I was hooked.
Open deck, adjustable lower link arms, and wider front wheel stance, back up light, etc.
The DK35 was around $2,000 more than the 3054.
