Yikes of all places to crap out. Maybe enough room to lay something down? Can you tow it with something. With luck a line came loose or the like. Good your on the path to fixing.

I was lucky that I thought to save a giant tennis court sized piece of plastic wrap from when the guys put up my metal building. Just rolled it up telling myself this’ll be useful some day. Thank goodness. The bucket had bled down to the ground but I was able to hook to the tow bar and pull it backwards out of the puddle and mud. I cut the grass behind it beforehand so now I have a great work area.

Still in the process of taking it apart. Didn’t anticipate all the tools I’d need. Back in Houston 70 miles away and planning to go back tomorrow to finish getting it apart and lay eyes on what I busted.

Realized I never followed up here. I ended up heading back the next day and finding the problem. Something had managed to get right up into the fuel line about 4” from where it comes off the tank. Big hole in the hose. I cut off the end and connected a new piece of hose. Then put everything back together and was good as gold. Thanks for all the encouragement!

Glad it was something simple! Good case for some type of brush guard on the underside of these machines.

I noticed that fuel hose on my NX4510HST as being a very bad idea if you mow or drive over things. It is a disaster looking for a place to happen. Glad to hear it was a simple fox and not something crazy with such few hours on it.

Another good case for putting brush guards on these things.

The fuel hose is why I made some skid plates for my tractor. Also, there is this if you need to repair your fuel tank:
