Hello everyone, been years since I posted but I always come back to this forum as a reference for any issues I may have or for advice on tractor related things. So I am making this post so that it gets archived online and hopefully at some point in the future it saves someone the headache and aggravation I just went through today. It will be a bit long winded but it will have helpful information I hope.

My tractor has been starting harder then usual this winter and I could see the filter had some junk in the sediment bulb so I pick up a new filter cartridge this morning at the dealer, come home for a 5 minute filter swap so I think. Dealer is half hour away. I get it apart and find a chunk of ice froze in the bottom, I see a rust colored ring in the ice I figure my spring is imbedded in the ice. There is a spring that fills the gap between the sediment bulb bottom and the filter cartridge so the filter cannot slip down off the stem and allow for unfiltered fuel to be sucked up by the engine. Well I run some hot water on the ice to melt the spring out and all I'm left with is a cup of brown water the spring was gone.

So back to the dealer, call them, no help, they didn't have it and basically had the attitude that they had no idea when they'd get it and a special order would be 50 dollars shipping and they still didn't know, they basically gave the impression they didn't think I should bother with them for this part. They gave me the Bobcat number said the Bobcat dealer don't have it either but get it there. So on my way to the Bobcat dealer I decide to stop at a gas station and call the other Kioti dealer which is part of the same system as my dealer who was not helpful, but they are another 30 miles to the south west, luckily their parts guy was very good, gave me a bunch of info. That fuel unit was used in a bunch of Asian built tractors back before the tier 4 engines changed things. They also are the AGCO and NewHolland dealer so he verified part numbers for the same spring used in those brands. They didn't have any in stock but gave me the numbers, so I stopped at the Kubota dealer who used to be a NewHolland dealer, he cross referenced the NH number with Kubota and found the same spring in Kubota, he didn't have it either but their location 20 miles south did have 1 in stock so I drove down and bought it. 3 dollar spring and $30 worth of gas because nobody in town had the part for any manufacturer. Then I thought I wonder if Deere ever used it, did a quick Google after the fact and sure enough the Deere 4500 series in the early 00s up through I believe the 4710 used that same unit with the spring, had I thought of that earlier I could have likely stopped at John Deere and saved myself some driving, oh well.

So after all that here is my point, I am going to list the current part numbers that I know from all the manufacturers I found today in case anyone has need for this stupid spring. The spring is for the DK50SE and all the variants of it, the 45, 40, and I believe even the 35. Possibly others but I am not sure. And I'm sure there are other makes and models that I'm unaware of which used it. So if you have trouble at your local dealer and there is another brand in town they may be able to cross reference these part numbers.

BOBCAT - 6696732
New Holland- SBA360740120
Kubota- 15521-43930
AGCO- 3702606M1
John Deere- CH12790

If you need that spring or any o ring or component of that sediment bulb and fuel filter set these manufacturers for sure used that exact same unit on their tractors, and if you look deep enough at Mahindra,LS, Massey, Yanmar and any other brand that was in existence from the late 90s through the end of the pre tier 4 days it wouldn't surprise me if they used that same unit on some models as well. As common as it is I should not have had to waste so much time at different dealers tracking this thing down.

I've attached a photo of the spring for anyone who needs a reference of size of their looking for it and need to improvise.
