dk55 axle fix

i have been using the tractor in 2 wd, as i have been hesitant to use 4 wd. but today i needed 4 wd. a friend was pulling dry earth off of a cutbank for me with a backhoe and i was moving it about 50 ft. on the 7th bucket load, there was a bad noise out of the front end and the wheels locked up. broken again.

I would be demanding a whole new fron end under that tractor.......

motorseven. it is a 'whole new front end'. all new from wheel to wheel. castings, axles, gears, bearings. every thing.

I've just made it through the 100 hrs and haven't had a problem with my 4x4, so I'm wondering what is going on with yours. It sounds like they need to go through the tractor and figure it out. Did you run on the road in 4x4 or somewhere where the front and back tires could not slip a bit? Anyway, sounds like a clear case of a rebuild under warranty... good luck.

I have had my DK55 for about 6 months. It has 60 hours on it and is currently in the shop getting the 2nd left front axle fix. Has not been on pavement since I had it. 1st time was moving dirt when front wheel locked up. This time was just back dragging while covering up a water line just put in. No pressure on front end this time. I have demanded complete front end, but havent heard from them as of today. If it happens a 3rd time, will be trading back to dealer for another model or brand.
