dk55 axle fix

I believe what the fix is for is to strenthen an outer bearing that the engineers decided was vulnerable to breakage. I think a few tractors must have had problems and they want to avoid any others doing so and thus came up with a modification for it.

quick up-date. my dealer installed the front end up-grade (?). i worked the tractor 8-10 hours loading out 1 1/2 piles of dirt and spreading the dirt with the back blade, no rocks. then, blam!!! the front end let go again. oil pouring out of the left axle gear case. walked up to the house, ( i get a lot of exercise with this machine) to get the truck and trailer. backed the trailer right up to the tractor and poured water on the ground and trailer deck, to skid the left front wheel onto the trailer. the tire/wheel was jammed up solid, and took it back to the dealer.
that's the 3rd front end for it, not to mention that the 1595 loader had to be upgraded to make it a marginal fel. and the power steering up-grade, as it wasn't power steering at all.

i think my dealer is doing all he can, but i believe the dk55 is fatally flawed.
does anyone know how buddy cash got kioti to buy back his dk55? i would be interested in pursuing that. i can't allow myself to own this machine after my extended warranty runs out. any information would be appreciated. jc

Sounds like time to lemon law it, the prob(s) has to be safety related, and you obviously qualify.

Is it the same front end style that keeps going out?

They are supposed to have a completely different front end for the DK 55. As far as I know they haven't shipped any yet. We have one tractor that has taken out 5 or 6 sets of brgs just keep changing them wait on the new axle.

i'm told that it is a new design unit. it at least looks different than the others. it has a zerk fitting on the top.

Is this problem going to be handled similar to the way Kioti is handling the CK cracking loader problem? I wonder if this is due to the quality of metal Kioti is using? I hope not? I'm sure Kioti is using appropriate materials to build their machines.
