How do you guys like the pics?

Thx,

CM
Pictures are nice but man, that tractor is way too clean! WTF? There is not even any grease around the zerks. The tires are clean too and look like they've either never seen dirt or are polished each night.:confused2: Please don't tell us this beautiful DK is a garage queen.:( We need photos with DIRT!

Here is what a real working DK40se looks like.:D

Yup, that first dent is always a heart breaker. I've stopped worrying about it now.

Yep, she's inside most every night with 50 degree minimum radiant heated floor under her tender feet!
She's resting right now, (shush) from moving tons of snow and then getting sleeted and then rained on end of last week.
she got a nail in her right front paw too and needed to have a tube inserted. 'bout 90-95 hours on her now, can't tell for sure due to display unit crapping out and rendering the hour meter DOA. Just put the third display unit in her today and the hours are recording again.

There's plenty of dirt on the backhoe, which is not in the pics I posted, but believe me when I say I'm not one of those wash and wax guys.

I can't remember if I EVER completed washing and especially waxing anything I've ever owned- it seems like a colossal waste of time to me.

Hey Island,

What's on the backhoe in the last pic? Is that an 'ice pic'?

O2batsea,
I beat the snot out of the hood of my DK-35se/hst right after getting it, when a stump rolled and missed the brush guard and headlights/radiator, but pounded the front of the hood.
It cost me a new hood when I traded the 35 in for the 40. So far this one seems to be doing the havoc wreaking on things other than itself; and I'm hoping to keep it that way.

Very Nice. Just the size I'm thinking of, but Bob and I need a different solution. Right now all my tractor tools are rolled up in a canvas bag behind the seat. :ashamed:

That the root ripper Island and MichiganIron designed. I got one last fall from MichiganIron but I did not get to play with it before the ground froze.

I was looking at some pics grsthegreat posted of his new DK45 cab, and it seems there might be enough space to place the box I show in my pics sideways between the loader arm and the cab glass at that level? I don't know how much space there is in that area- can you take some measurements so we can see if something might still be able to fit the space?

Thanks for the idea, but I don't think there is enough space. If I remember correctly the loader arm support is very close to the windshield, but I will double check just to be sure.

I bought an old ammo box from Princess Auto - they are on sale now for $9.99 - and mounted it to the rear fender. It holds chain, rope and a few odd and ends.

Chain and rope? I thought that Plano box was for ice and beer. Shoot, I bet you could fit at least six in there.

I used 2 feet of 4" Pvc attached to ROPS using carriage bolts.Holds a small cats paw hammer, wrenches pliers and assorted extras. Pressure cap glued on bottom and screw cap adapter on top. Water proof and better than factory box on my CK 20.
