It attemps to answer the questions...
Why were Europeans the ones to conquer so much of our planet?
Why didn't the Chinese, or the Inca, become masters of the globe instead?
Why did cities first evolve in the Middle East?
Why did farming never emerge in Australia?
And why are the tropics now the capital of global poverty?

Yes- I saw it. That was an excellent series. Very interesting.

I remember a theory that DNA was God (capital 'G'). Incorporate the idea that RNA-like material may be what makes up thoughts and memories and it is not too far of a stretch to assume that DNA is the ultimate being and we plants and animals are just the vehicle by which it conducts its business.

Seems like everyday there are some new discoveries in DNA, cloning and stem cell research. It will turn into a big mess soon enough, the government won't be able to keep the lid on it forever.
