Tractoring apprell !!

Usually somthing that is past the clear duct tape repair stage, my old woreout comfortable redwings and a hard hat with attached ear muffs.

I'ver been thinking of renting a tux and wearing it to mow the hankerchief sized front lawn during the hight of tourist season. Charge a fee for anyone taking pictures. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I just wear my regular T-shirt/sweatshirt/insulated coveralls/Russian fur hat/baseballhat. Depends on the weather.

I do have reservations on what RalphinVa wears. No picture Ralph, please. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I also have visions of Junkman dressed up like the Tinman /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

"I almost never wear anything but Dickies short sleeved coveralls (used to call them jumpsuits) and sneakers (used to call them tennis shoes). "

Yepper...the first time I got on TBN, one of the first pics I ever saw was Bird settin' on his B2710 (this was long before you sold your acreage, Bird) wearing those blue coveralls.

Boy...that must have been close to 3 years ago!

I, like Aldo Chella, am not a slave to fashion.
If I'm wearing something and it's tractor time, that's good enough for me. Loafers, gutties, wingtips, Topsiders, I don't care which. I don't wear hard boots, my feet just hurt too much with them on. The lovely missus isn't always happy about the occasional grease spot but she's always lovely nevertheless.
I have a nice Asian policeman's hat that resembles a wicker pith helmet and under that I sport a few layers of paper towels to catch the head juice, keeps it out of the eyes you know. The paper towels continue down the back of my neck, kinda like in those foreign legion films. Don't laugh, it works great at keeping the sun off.
Lately on bare skin I sport SPF30, I do smell a bit like a sissy but it keeps the alabaster skin from burning. I'm not too fussy about what I smell like anymore when I'm outside. The missus has house rules and I do obey when inside.
They eyes get covered with Ray Ban aviator sunglasses, the wire aroung the ears keep 'em from falling off when I look downwards. I haven't broken a pair since I got these some years ago.
The ears are plugged with those spongy green things.
Thats on hot sunny days.
When it rains I wear a slicker and similar overalls.
When it's cold I wear ski overalls, one of those fake russian fur hats with the sides that fold over the ears, a pair of Harveys titanium dive gloves and Wellies for the feet. Sometimes I wear one of those ski masks if it's really howling out. I rarely wear socks.
And of course during tractor time I always wear a great big grin.

Or perhaps they'd pay more for NOT......

There's a terrible image burnt into my brain now.... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Usually just a pair of old shorts and tee-shirt when brush hogging I switch to a pair of jeans. Wife insist I limit my attire to a set amount of shorts and jeans and shirts as they seem to attract tractor grease and the stains make nice character marks /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yesterday.. 80+ in the shade. When it gets hot.. I switch from a ball-cap type hat to a straw hat.. a lot cooler and it keeps your ears & face shaded from the sun better. When I start out in the morning.. my shirt is white.. bluejeans are blue.. but like yesterday(dry & dusty).. I end up w/ a coat of dust/mud/grease.. maybe some manure & cow slobber to boot. Now we just need some rain for all the seeds we put in the ground yesterday.

Typically old shorts or jeans and old UNC Tarheel T-shirts as I have noticed clothing seems to be a tractor grease magnet. A very old and comfortable nike golf baseball hat. I avoid getting off the tractor as much as possible when mowing/clearing/etc. so, usually a pair of old Nike sneakers; looking for some nice boots.

Recently, on my 40th bday, my wife gave me "formal" tractor attire. A pair of bib overalls and a really nice straw hat. Yes, I have a live one. A momentous, milestone birthday and I get overalls (not complaining - I love 'em!) and a straw hat. Haven't worn them yet, waiting for just the right occasion - probably when we go out for our anniversary /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Before I had cattle.. I never would have imagined how much a cow slobbered.. especially when watching you tote a feed bucket over to the trough..
