A set of these forks are up for auction tomorrow. I noticed they only have three notches for side to side adjustment on the forks. I'm wondering how much this matters. Obviously more adjustments would be better, but is it a big deal?

They should be able top slide all the way to the ends of the bar holding them on. I've never seen any that didn't.

Sometimes I use forks not set in the notches. They still work fine, but may move a little on you if not in a notch.

It wouldn't be that hard to grind in notches if your needed more anyway. If the forks are cheap enough, I would get them anyway.

Thanks. I was wondering about damaging them by using while not in a notch, but I guess its not that big of a deal. I'd just have to deal with them sliding. I didn't think about grinding out another notch. Thanks for the tip.
