I have a Kubota M8540. I'm looking at the Express Steel 48" heavy forks that seem to be a match for my 6400lb lift capacity. Not that I'll ever lift that much. The ES, however, lack the receiver hitch and hay spear sleeves which I would really like. I see they come on Titan/Palletforks.com units. Any others out there I can consider? Not a fan of the chinese built from Titan although they do have some pricier 'made in the USA' units. Not sure how much I trust that either.

I have the Land Pride PFL3048 pallet forks and have been very satisfied with them. Land Pride has the PFL6448 or PFL6460 pallet forks for your tractor. Both are 6400# capacity and either 48" or 60" length. For me the 48" length does everything I need. I have separate hay spears and a trailer receiver hitch plate.

Does the separate hay spears and receiver hitch plate attach to the pallet fork or completely separate unit?

Stay away from Titan. They are cheap, but a disreputable company. They used the Titan name and moved their US mailing address to TN to mimic an actual mfg. It got so bad, the mfg changed their name to Ironcraft to avoid being associated with the cheap Chinese importer and imposter.

I agree 100%, and would never do business with them.

I would not want to have to be taking the forks off of the frame. 5500 lb 48"x5'x1.75" forks weight 130 lbs a piece.

I would not want to have to remove two 130 lb forks to use a receiver or a hay spear. If moving bales I would just use the forks. Below is a thread discussing this.

If you want a receiver consider getting a reciever mount for the forks.

If the trailers are really light then here is an option. I use one of these to move implements around in barns. For moving light stuff like empty hay wagons and smaller implements they are great. You can keep it in the cab of the tractor and just toss it on the skidsteer plate when you need it.

If you have a LA1353 then you can lift 5137 lbs to full height at the pins and 3957 lbs 1500mm forward of pins. So 6000lbs forks (rated at 24" load center) are more than adequate.
Express Steel makes some nice products. My one friend has a set of their forks. Another brand to consider is Stout, they are made in WI. Skid Steer Pallet Forks | Skid Steer Forks | Stout Buckets

I see they come on Titan/Palletforks.com units.
The bale spear socket on the Titan units are for small tines that do not hold up well to frequent use. I have a Titan 60" frame and would never consider using it as a bale spear. I use it infrequently as it has 72" forks on it.

Easy peasy. Just let gravity do the heavy work. All you have to do is guide them into position.

Separate units. The hay spear is the Land Pride BS20 with twin bale spears. The trailer mover is the Titan receiver mount plate.
