Do I have to give my neighbor a 30 day notice to move something he has put on my farm

AFTER, everyone knows there is a dispute? And then, his property gets damaged. Yeah right. An accident.

Nothing like escalating a dispute. Really smart.
You have to remember, all this is armchair rhetoric is from people who don't have a dog in the fight and the final outcome is of no consequence to them.

And verbal agreements aren't worth the paper they are printed on.

Like others have said I think you are in a losing battle here. You can move the container on to his property and put up a fence so it never happens again. Talk to a lawyer but once again you could be losing more money you might never see. I agree it suck that the neighbor did this but unfortunately you don't have a lot of options, to make him pay.

Ive had 1 issue with a neighbor while owning my land and it was over a deer feeder being right on our fence line (15 feet from the fence on his side) and he had a blind set up 52 yards away aiming in my direction. I asked him to move it and he was always too busy, but once deer season came he was not too busy to buy corn in it... so I called the local game warden, he shut down my neighbors season (since it was unsafe and would ultimately be trespassing by firearm) and found out he was leasing it, so talked to the land owner about the situation and he did not extend the lease.

My 80 acres was originally part of a 360 acre homestead. It was "surveyed" by meets and bounds description in 1892 when the homestead was granted. This verbal description runs on for half a typed page. The 80 acres was split out of the original 360 by meets and bounds description. It also, runs on for half a page.

My 80 acres has never been surveyed - EXCEPT. Abutting lands HAVE been surveyed. This has established three of my four property corners and they are marked by official survey markers. The fourth corner is out in the middle of a big 125 acre lake - nobody gives a toot about that corner. Beside - all my attempts to establish any type of permanent corner marker have been wiped out by the ice on the big lake.

There is one run where my five strand barbed wire fence runs about 15 feet inside my property line. This is for a 200 foot stretch. It's because I have the fence running from big pine tree to big pine tree. Great support. Does this bother me - not a bit. This is all open range land out here and this tiny bit of lost land is insignificant. The support provided by the big pine trees more than makes up for it. Besides - the only ones who ever notice are the cattle that walk the path along the fence line.

If I ever wanted to put this 200 foot section right on the property line it would mean drilling around 14 more hole in the basaltic lava. This entire run has less than a foot of soil over diamond hard basaltic lava bedrock. It just isn't worth the time nor effort.

Likewise. However that situation could change with the death of a very good neighbor or a neighbor sells out or even family members inheriting the property can change neighborhood relationships.
This hit the nail on the head.
