Do tractors have titles?

Do tractors have titles? Never thought about it before. Just finished paying off my 2006 TC40 through CNH finance (0% for 48 months) and got a nice letter saying it was paid off. Should I be expecting a title? Does it vary by state? If I recall correctly, I got a title for my dirt bike and ATV so why not a tractor?

None in Missouri, but I bet it varies by state, and I have seen Lic plates on tractors in Europe, so I bet they have titles over there

No. Neither does your chain saw, lawn mower, wood splitter, zero turn, combine, and/or many other pieces of powered equipment.

Not in VA. since it's not a motor vehicle. Make sure you keep a copy of the Serial Number and Model number in case it's is stolen.

Since All those threads do not show titles ....



Here in New Jersey my 1710 has a title. So does my Farmall Cub that my father bought in 1958, and I still have the original title to it.

here in eastern canada does if you want to drive on main roads unless it stays on the farm

The new tractors come with a certificate of origin (CO) . In states that require a registration to drive on the road, the CO gets filed with the registration application, then a title is generated.
