I think it is good the way it is too. I don't have a jinma dealer close to me but I do Have farm pro and nortrac. I've been thinking of getting one and really had no idea they were all basically the same until I started looking here.
This way If you need to search for info on chinese tractors its alot easier to search for in one forum. It doesn't take long to figure out that they are all basically the same tractor. You can simply apply what you learn about one to the other for the most part. It would be a little tougher searching for info through 2 forums.(not that much though) But a newbie, like I was, may not put 2 and 2 together for a while and miss out on some info on one or the other of the forums.
My first TBN post ever was looking for information on Farm Pro tractors I saw at a Homier tool sale.
I only knew they were Chinese, but I knew nothing at the time about Jinma, or the other brand names they are sold under. I posted a list full of questions under the Chinese forum, and was quickly helped by many of the experts at TBN! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
The new york chinese tractor owners web page is free and works better than c.t.o.a. anyways,,,,and no, you don't have to be from that state. Always good to have someplace else to argue with my main man greg though,,,thingy
I know of at least another Jinma variation. McConnel-Marc has a Jinma version. Their machines are yellow. I know that they have at least one Jinma variant, but I'm not sure of the others.
Everyone has had good input on your question. I'd like to suggest a renaming of from Chinese Tractors to Jinma and other Chinese Tractors. Kind of a trade-off, but giving Jinma some recognition. They appear to have a pretty good market here in the states regardless of brandnaming. Personally I have a Nortrac, but was never once fooled about it being anything but a Jinma. I'm also comfortable with the way it is now.
I dunno Andy, it looks pretty Jinma to me, old style maybe if it is a 25hp but they may be selling the 224 as a the 425XL, never can tell, seen it done on other brands.

I definitely see Jinma there too. Looks like a prototype for the Tonka version
That tractor in JayC's post looks pretty Jinma to me too.
One thing I see in the photo I REALLY like ( I don't know if it's picture distortion or actual size /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif ) but I'd LOVE to have those front tires.. The regular Jinma Turf Tires really don't have the load capacity for front loaders. I run mine overinflated @ 30psi & with the backhoe on the back for counterweight they are better but if I'm grooming the driveway with just a rake on the back, with a full bucket of gravel running along low/skimming the ground the tires are unstable/will roll to the side in a turn or slight sidehill making the tractor tippy with a full bucket. Wider front tires would make a HUGE difference......to the better /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
