( I guess I'm the exception I've never worn my seatbelt, still don't wear it and don't think I ever will. )

Hopefully you won't ever have to feel what it's like crashing through your windshield using your noggin.

I have to agree. It's been 30 yrs since my last accident, I drive VERY defensively, I think this is mainly due to 35 years of motorcycle riding with the worst drivers ( that's what I've been told) in the country.

Here's a theory I'll throw out, I don't commute to work, 95% of my driving is recreational, although I've hit 41 states in the last 7 years, I don't have a cell phone, I don't carry a watch, mainly because I don't much care when I get somewhere. I don't have much to focus on but the road and the other drivers around me. I really believe this makes a difference.

On the other hand I have a good friend who commutes everyday, for those of you who are familiar with the area please back me up on this, he does a 50 mile one way Rt 495 to 128 to Mass pike, he'll stop in my store when he gets home and he is so wound up from the drive it takes him an hour to calm down.

I realize you're right and I should wear my sealtbelt but I just can't forget the only serious accident I've ever had.

Yes. And if you ride in my vehicle you'll wear one too or you'll walk.
