Just like Skyco, I have foud State Fram doesn't want to cover my RV (2 times the cost of GEICO) or my vacant land. They told me they will not insure my land in OK. It has a barn and my tractor is there. They said if the land was in the same state as my residence they would.
Do ya'll get property insurance for vacant land?

Well, I do have said umbrella policy, $1M anyway (is that "high" dollar? I dunno), so maybe when I called they pulled me up on their computer & when it also showed the umbrella they said, Yep your vacant land is covered. I had forgotten about looking into this. Writing myself a note to read my policies tonight!

Try the NC Farm Bureau. If you want I will give you my agents name in PM. 
My tractor at first was covered by JD since the loan was from JD. When I paid off the loan I needed insurance and our current company would not cover the tractor. Long story short, NCFB has our coverage for house, car, tractor, Umbrella, and a few other things.
They actually know how to handle rural property.
I cannot say ENOUGH GOOD things about them. The agent knows us. After our traffic accident they handled things PERFECTLY. No complaints. Only praise. Even our Bone Cracker was impressed on how quickly they paid him and they paid the full amount.
Call them and compare prices.
