Do you add any kind of Additive to fuel?

Just curious if anyone adds anything to their diesel fuel for the winter months?
I use PS /white bottle 12 months a year.
Also consider winter fuel. May have to ask around where it can be purchased.
In these parts.Summer fuel is converted over to winter fuel by/about Oct. or Nov.

Because someone has not used any and not had any problems? does not mean it is not beneficial.
Good point.Right about that.

(white bottle)
ULSD is just that, low sulfur and sulfur lubricates pumps and injector pintles so I always add CAT lubrication additive to every load of fuel that gets delivered
Sulfur is not a lubricate .
Removing it didn't remove the lubrication .
Processing ULSD reduced the lubrication but other additives were atted to restore the lubricants removed by refining the fuel to create ULSD>.

I do, it is called "Diesel fuel".
1*I add it when the gauge approaches "E".
On the small tractor I add about 5 gallons, which is a convenient can size.
The bigger ones usually get a transfusion from the truck, unclear how many gallons at a time, maybe 15 or 20.
How does this increase shelf life boost
2* Around here (North East USA) it can be unwise to leave a diesel with summer blend in it much past December 1st.

1* How does this increase shelf life boost Cetane
or prevent jelling ?
2*I hardly ever need winter blend as it seldom ever gets down to 14 degrees around here.

Havent used anything for 20 years

3*what benefit would there be

Extends shelf life and increases Cetane. Helps prevent jelling.

I don't have to,but I add Power Service also.
I think it boosts the Cetane a bit.
I get my diesel where I get my gas (Sunoco) and I've never had a problem:thumbsup:

Greg

Power Service in white container year around in all my diesel powered equipment after having cold weather problems in winter many years ago. Never had a problem since using it.

All it takes is one time having fuel problems in the middle of winter...ask me how I know...

PowerService and I make sure that I'm getting winter blend fuel here in MN (no diesel in my tanks leftover from summer).
