Does anyone own the Harbor Freight 20 ton press?

Stan I can see that. I suppose the first time it misbehaves it gets stronger feets.

You know, Sodo, I've always been guilty of overbuilding or over designing my modifications. If you noticed in the pictures, I even welded caps on the ends to keep out spiders and critters. I don't know another person who would waste the effort to do that.

That's agreat price. Go get it. I have one.
What kind of jigs will you use for bending angles in steel? Make them? Buy them? I want something simple to bend as well.

I don't know what to do to bend steel and was hoping someone here would tell me. Seems I would dies or something.
Does anything come with the press?

I have the 30 tonner since 2000. Used in many ways. I believe for heavy cold forming you do need dies and the 50 ton "iron man" style, but this unit has been good. The only issue is the return springs are not up to it for the last 1/2" return of the hydraulic piston and I usually boost it by hand for full retraction. With patience you can install a arm bushings cold. Start saving up odd lengths and dias of tube for tooling and enjoy.

I have a 20 to HF press for 5 years and no problem. I add a air hydraulic jack. I like it your have a little more control of the jack.
