Went to pull the wheels off my BX24 yesterday to install some metal valve stems and was very dismayed to find two lug bolts on the left rear wheel stripped. One a little but one had major strippage. There was evidence of grease around the one really bad one so it appears someone knew there was a problem and lubed it trying to get it in or out.
So the question is- is this a factory defect? Or does the dealer install the wheels when the unit gets final assembly at the dealer.
Either way I'm pretty ticked
I was able to clean up the tapped hole in the axle flange pretty well, I was quite surprised the lug bolts turned out to be 1/2x20, I would have thought they were metric. I'm going to check the dealer today to see if they have two on hand.
