Does the MT180 have a thermostat?

My machine has a sticker on the hood that reads Mitsubishi MT180HD.
It is two wheel drive.
I'm guessing H stands for hydro-static transmission....which it does indeed have

I get my info from the factory manuals and have: owners, parts and shop manuals, but won't argue.

I have manuals too. I am attaching a scan from my 470D manual that I hope will clear this up. I don't know why CooHead's decal has the D suffix unless it has been repainted and re-decaled. I will say that I don't think you will ever see a 180 (whether D or not) with anything other than a diesel engine.

My MT210D was getting too hot right after I got it (230ish). I had the radiator cleaned at a shop, then I back flushed the block.

Then I popped out the freeze plug and found a huge amount of gunk that didn't come out previously. I put a block heater plug back in instead of a new freeze plug.

Today it sat right at the thermostat (190) while mowing in 95F weather. I really think taking the freeze plug out helped a lot.

Mine kept intermittently getting hot. Then I discovered that the upper hose had no pressure in it, ever.

Investigating further, the radiator cap wasn't "deep" enough to seal on the bottom of the neck, so there was no way for it to ever build pressure. I have yet to find the correct radiator cap, but a large o-ring seems to take up the gap and let it build pressure. It does build pressure now, and seems to stay cooler, though fall and cooler weather is here now, so it's hard to tell
