Does your FEL quick couplers +have dust covers ?

Is colored dust covers or any dust covers come standard on any NH quick couplers ? The FEL ( 12LA ) on my tractor ( TC24D ) did not have any dust covers for the quick couplers on the FEL. Is this normal for NH to do this ? A friend of mine has a Kubota and has dust covers for his quick couplers on his FEL. I would think that NH would try to stay with the competition. Any thoughts ?

My 7308 came with quick connector covers installed. I them clean and use them every time it's uncoupled. I just assumed any quick coupler should have them.

My TC-30 with 7308 FEL came with dust covers for the hose ends and the valve-end couplers. Color coding is by colored rings around the fittings and/or hoses.

I don't know if this is NH standard or dealer but it seems to work well.

My TC24D and 12LA loader didn't come with them. I just had the dealer order me a set. Had a hard time. The book didn't list them for it. It didn't list them for the 7106 either (the predecessor to the 12LA). They finally just ordered some for a 7308. Said we would see if they would fit (they thought they would). I think they were something like $2.00 each, though I haven't paid for them yet.

Mine didn't come with them either, but the rear remote kit did.

Jim, the TSC in Circleville has the dust covers, but not sure how many colors. If that matters.

I (and the dealer too) was worried about the size. W/o trying them they just didn't "look" right if you know what I mean. I've been too lazy or too forgetful to actually measure mine to see if they would fit. Did get any of them? If so did they fit?

Nope, never picked any up yet, just make sure whether you hace 3/8" or 1/2" couplers and buy the right size. I think all TSC has is 1/2".

My 14LA loader came from the dealer with the color coded dust covers. Don't know if this is standard or the dealer just did me a favor /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Does NH use the same size quick couplers for most of their front end loaders ? I will have to stop by my TSC store in Canton to see if they have any dust covers. This is my first FEL and I think it is important to keep the dirt out of the quick couplers.

Same here, so I ordered a set of the male (tractor side) from the dealer. They are NH and were quite expensive - $18 for the set of four. And they are all black. The part that bothers me is they are not very flexible, so the keeper ring can't fit over the coupler. You would have to remove the coupler if you want them permenantly left on the tractor. I might cut the rings off and just keep the caps in the tool box.

Got to go build a driveway today!
