Natasha was a great Companion that we adopted from my wanderlust friend. Sadly, we had to put her down monday after 14 years, she had a good run. This is my favorite picture.Sent from my iPad using TractorByNet

After being dogless for too long, I finally got a dog to keep me company while I build the homestead. She is purported to be a Carolina Dog, which is a primitive breed running around the swamps of the Low Country for thousands of years. I would say a mixture, as she doesn't quite fit the description. At any rate, Daisy looks like a miniature yellow lab, and is a very laid-back 3 year-old. I've never adopted an adult dog before, but I don't have time to raise a puppy right now. So far, she is real good about hanging around with no fence or chain. Very mellow, except when chasing tennis balls!

Max (gold) died the day I retired last May. Niki (black) soon followed, last week. Boy, did they earn their keep.
