We've had dogs over the years that would wear your arm out throwing a ball.

..............................

For our GSD, a tennis ball has a life span of about 10 minutes.

...........................

We tried the ones without the squeaker as well. But she would puncture those within an hour and they would deflate into a half moon

I bought my sweet, 37 lb Springer Spaniel field dog some of those fluffy dog toys with squeakers at Costco thinking how well behaved and respectful she would treat them. I thought she would treasure them.

It took her maybe 15 minutes to rip the squeakers out of all four toys and maybe 45 minutes till all the stuffing was ripped out.

A stuffed animal has the same life expectancy as a tennis ball does in my place

The exception is the ultra tough toys made out of fire hose.

I have a couple of those that have survived a few years. Just don't get near them if she gives them the "Death" shake.

It will hurt like a sum beach and you'll likely be bruised

Agree totally. Tennis balls don't last long, but they're cheap and I buy them by the tube.
The thrower I mentioned is a Chuck It I think. Cup on the end of a curved plastic stick.
Works good. I couldn't remember the name. Any toy with a rope connected, like a
rubber ball with a rope through it, a nubbie rubber triangle with a rope through it etc etc
all end up with the knots in the rope removed via a combination of gnawing and death shake.
Interesting how quickly they figure out how to destroy the toy. The only toys we let
her have anytime she wants is a Kong, a green gorilla and some tough a-- chew rings.
She has not been able to maime, injure or behead any of those 3 toys. We also let her chew
up what they call dinosaur bones (smoked cow femur). She has a squeaker chicken but
has never been interested in it. Any attempt at stuffed animals has led me to just a big
clean up effort. Early on she also shredded a couple of dog beds, what a freaking mess
those were. However, now she has 3 beds and uses all at different times. No more shredding.
I'll look for that nubbie ball thing. And I'll reconsider the Nylabone. Any other toys, I'm always
open for tips.
Hope y'all have a nice day and Happy Easter.

We used to dog sit our shepherds brother. Sometimes he would stay with us for a month or two.

We've come home to a couple shredded dog beds

What a mess, but I think they had a really good time

We were dog sitting them once and I had both of them get up on the bed in the middle of the night. One stretched out on one side of me, the other stretched out on the other. Both on top of the blanket, and had me wrapped up like a cannoli

The issue was i had 90lbs of dog on each kidney and pressed toght on m I bladder.

I couldn't move and had to pee something fierce My wife thought it was hilarious, and the dogs decided to commando crawl to where they could reach my face and take liberties with their tongues when I started to struggle.

Finally my wife took pity on me and got the dogs to move so I could get out of bed.

Two days later I went out of town for work.

The next morning my wife woke up in bed with her alarm going off, wrapped like a cannoli and not being able to move Karma got her good
