The results are in! Surprisingly no lab. She is a combo of 6 different breeds at three different levels. Some of you were very close.

Breed Identification Results for Whipper:

Your Ancestry Analysis is shown in "Levels". In processing, breeds are detected as ranges rather than absolute values. The Levels are defined as follows:

Level 1: Over 75% of the DNA found in your dog is from the breed listed.
**Most mixed breed dogs will not show any breeds listed under Level 1 unless the dog has a purebred parent
Level 2: Each breed listed represents between 37-74% of your dog's DNA.
Level 3: Each breed listed represents between 20-36% of your dog's DNA.
Level 4: Each breed listed represents between 10-19% of your dog's DNA.
Level 5: Each breed listed represents less than 10% of your dog's DNA.

Level: 3 Cocker Spaniel
Level: 4 German Shorthaired Pointer
Level: 4 Greyhound
Level: 4 Poodle
Level: 4 Bichon Frise
Level: 5 Great Dane

Here is the lab we used. The cost was around $50

Well, that was fun. Hard to believe no lab, but the very high tucked belly and well corded rear leg muscles led me to guess some greyhound or other sight hound content.

My wife might try that out just for kicks. Thanks for the link.
Dave.

Some pictures of a German Shorthaired Pointer look almost like her. And she is extremely fast, (Greyhound) she gains ground chasing deer but is not too good on corners (Great Dane).

First, says a lot about you IMO not to shoot a stray dog on your property, let alone take one in:thumbsup:

Somehow after looking at your results, I can't help but wonder if they have some guys in the back room blind folded shooting 6 darts at different dog breed post cards on a wall to determine the DNA results:confused2:

Interesting. Now you need to find a boy and start your own breed!!!

I don't know about the results on paper, but the finished product looks good. Way better than average stray - glad she's found a good home!

We had a lab for 13 years and she does not act at all like a lab. She doesn't like to swim in the pond and she is very shy. I was wondering about the dart theory when we sent in the DNA. After reading about the breeds in her we can see those temperaments and traits.

Yes she does have webbed paws! The vet thought she was about 8 months old when we took her in for her shots. She had no collar or microchip.

Jim, good one!

Webbed paws come from the GSP in her. Interesting combination you have there. No matter what, she looks like a great dog.

The ear set and basic head and body shape remided me of a Flat Coat Retriever, but with mixes you never know. Those DNA tests are supposed to be reasonably accurate.
