What makes them unique is also the way they bite. Most not all will catch lock on and shake until death or muscular/bone detachment.

There's my little buddy.

I have a bad but turned out ok story on him,

one day I was out in the yard with him training him on boundaries of the yard, and a lady was walking down the road with a stroller, max sees the lady and the stroller and bolts after them, I call him and he doesn't listen, he ran right up to the stroller first and my heart stopped, the mom actually kinda hid behind the stroller and I was thinking to myself why doesn't she stop him but anyway he for a split second sniffs the kid and runs around the stroller to the mom to play, wagging his tail with excitement. I am now at the edge of the road looking for traffic and I get his attention and he runs back, she never said a thing but I apologized for it and told max he was bad, instantly put him in the house.

The thought of Max biting the kid never crossed my mind but max paws a lot and I was scarred to death that he would paw the baby wanting to play, luckily he didn't. I almost yelled at the lady to make sure he doesn't paw the kid but by the time I was about to speak max was rounding the stroller.

As a dog owner that's the first time I was that fearful of the unpredictability of the dog, I love max, he's an awesome dog but at that moment things can escalade fast no matter what animal that is in the story.

Being so close to the house he could have easily taken the mom as a threat and barked at her or who knows. I do my best to foresee issues like that and not give max a chance to make the decision.

I take full responsibility for anything he does, if he bit someone for whatever reason I would absolutely not blame him, I would blame myself for as the owner of the dog, for failing to make sure he's not in a situation that can escalate.

I see other dog owners equally responsible as I see myself so when I hear someone just blame the dog and nothing more I look at the owner first, victim second and dog third.

Pictures not really necessary. You know what you have and for what reason.

More info below on Staffordshire Terriers aka Pit Bulls

Dog attacks surge 76% in England in 1 years, coinciding with exemption of Staffordshire pit bulls from the Dangerous Dogs Act – Animals 24-7

I can agree that most terriers are in the classification of "Pit Bull" but so is about 4-5 other breeds, but people classify about 30 breeds with similar traits as pits when they really are not.

Beautiful dog.

Sad to say, after taking in another one that had a problem with chewing, scat mats went up on the furniture to the dismay of others. My wife has given up on the furniture on the first floor LOL

Max had a issue with chewing up only plastic, remotes, spatulas, 360 controllers, trash literally just plastic but thankfully he is over that and I can even put the trash can on the floor again lol.

I wouldn't mind another dog but that would mean going threw that or worse again, I'm content with one for now lol.

Agreed 100%

And I think that is one reason why smaller dogs never get classified as "dog attacks" because they can't do great bodily damage, yet from my own experiences, smaller dogs have a greater propensity to be aggressive with people. People in general will be more afraid of a larger dog they don't know and not care how they interact with a smaller dog even if they don't know it because they think the smaller dog can't hurt. A small dog bite may not require a trip to the hospital, but it sure can hurt.

Plausible for sure. I've never understood why the little dogs are so feisty. Why do you think that is?

Most of the tiny dogs I've been around are hyper too. But your their bite still hurts and many most assuredly never gets reported. That fact has to effect the findings on tendency to attack most.

I can't tell you how many times a little Yorkie will be barking and vicious like it weighs 100lbs then about that time someone will say ahh ain't that so cute. There so little they get a free pass.

Plausible for sure. I've never understood why the little dogs are so feisty. Why do you think that is?

I've only had to care for 3, each at different times. Each was the same though, elderly lady who lived by themselves and their dog. The dog only gets attached to that one person, and then when that person either dies or can't care for the dog anymore, the dog is now put in a completely new environment. My only guess is that they are distrusting of new people because it's not who they're familiar with. I can guess that could happen with any size dog however. By the same token, I also realize that there can be small dogs socialized very well and don't have a propensity for aggression. I just find it ironic the only aggressive dogs I've usually had to deal with were small enough that I could kick them to the county line IF I wanted to LOL

The phase "little man syndrome" does come to mind though to apply it to dogs LOL

To me, an aggressive dog is bad, no matter what size they are.
