Dogs in Lowes Store

If we took our beagle in there, first dog she saw she would start baying. Then all of them within a mile would be raising h*!!. Does it ever year when they bless pets at church. I guess she figures they are in her pack and it's time to hunt.

No, but I have seen two people get into a fight in a HD store.

When entering Menards in Champaign, IL the other day I noticed a sign that read, No Pets Allowed, Service Animals Welcome. I agree with that policy.

Maybe no idiots allowed would better cover it. I am getting tired of folks not taking responsibility for themselves and blaming everyone else.

I came up with a simple doggie IQ test. While the dog is looking directly at you, and you have it's attention, knock on the wall. If the dog goes nuts, runs to the door, and barks it's head off, it's stupid. :thumbsup: Sadly, few of them are brilliant. Perhaps, that's a good thing, since too many people let their dogs train them. Any dog that I am asked to train, has to pass this test.

Just tried it, and I am happy to say that our Airedale Terrier passed the "dumb dog" test. But if he doesn't see me knock on the wall, he sure sings out! And he does the same thing when he hears people coming up the wooden steps to the cottage if I go down to the basement and make "bump in the night" noises.

I can also get him to bark at dogs or ducks on the TV, but I have to say "doggie" or "ducks". It is also really easy to get him to bark at me if I take off my jacket and hold it in front of me so he can't see my face as I'm coming up the steps if he is on the deck. But he sure is happy when he finds out it's really me!

Yep, our Chihuahua failed miserably.:laughing: She loves everyone, and the doorbell ringing, or a knock on the door really gets her to barking and running to the door, hoping that she's gonna find a new friend, or maybe an old friend coming to visit.
