My wife and I have three rescues, a French Beauceron, a Belgium Malinois and a Min Pin.

I used to have boxers and adopted or found homes for several. Lately, I just look for purebreds in need of a good home. It is kind of neat to compare the breeds.

Only thing worse than animal abuse is child abuse. In either case, the perp ought to be publicly flailed.

Got three now - two airedales and Great Pyreneese.

Also from time to time we participate in the airedale underground railroad - thats where the last photo came from. We drove two ADTs from Richmond to Baltimore to deliver them to their new owners.

We've got four.

Tubby (black) was dumped out our way as a puppy, along with his 3 siblings. We gave the 3 away & kept him

Chloe (white) is our little ham and was also dumped out our way along with her sister. My business partner took her sister.

Otis (brown on right) was picked up by us at the shelter, he's our parvo AND blasto-mycosis survivor

Hattie (in back) was found along with fannie (on left who's sister in laws dog) abaondoned near a gas station. Wife/sister in law picked them up after talking to the folks at the station.

Fannie ("sheperd" on left) is sister in laws dog who's staying with us until her house is finished.

Tubby (black) is/can be ferrocious. He's the Alpha and earlier this summer, we were on back side of farm. Neighbors dogs (three of them) came over and started to harass him. He took the three of them on. One of them was a pitt bull. Tubby had the three of them turned & tail tucked before it was over. Interestingly, you get him inside and he's the absolute BEST behaved dog out of ALL of them. He finds his place, lays down and you won't know he's there.

Indeed.... he was over at Wifes uncles house next door, they had him inside. Turns out they went on a long weekend trip. Along Sunday, I asked if she'd seen him "no". Went over there and they left him inside the house (unknowingly). Seems he went into a spare bedroom and was quiet as a mouse all day. They'd forgotten about him and left town.

Got 2 cats too :D One of them likes toilets...

Out of the hundreds of dogs I have owned, I had to show a photo of my favorite one. Spike was a Redbone coonhound that I had for 14 years and entered in competition coon hunts from Florida to Illinois while earning his Grand Championship degree. He had such a great personality that it was impossible to make him growl at or bite a human and yet he was strong and brave enough to dispatch the largest raccoon with a single bite. His loyalty, determination, courage, yet compassionate nature will never be forgotten.

At this time I have 2 Bassethounds . Woody is a 6 year old "Lemon" that we got from the rescue group about 6 weeks after my last Basset Frasier died. My youngest daughter decided Woody needed a playmate and she gave me a Basset puppy for fathers day. Angus is a handful and I'm not so sure Woody thinks he needs a playmate.

I applaude you on having TWO Airedales! The one I had for 13 years was some dog...as the saying goes I wouldn't have taken $5000 for her but wouldn't have given a nickle for another one just like her;)
That was the most stubborn dog I ever raised, way too smart for her own good too...but truth be known I loved every minute of it:D

The brutal world of dog fighting, poodle division. :D

They are just training for when they catch some poor coyote. Which they do. The black one can out run any of them. he can go 25 MPH for at lest 5 miles. The white one is old and slow a rescue dog from several places Probably had to fight for all the food he got for the first few years of his life. Coyotes stay well clear of him. If you could hear these two when they are playing like that you would swear they wee killing each other.

Well, since I've showed you pictures of some of the dogs currently in our foster care, here are some that are actually are ours and we'll never let go of.

The first pic is of Ella, our last dog we brought in. I found her as a pup in August in North Carolina at a gas station four years ago, laying on her side, looking good as dead with over thirty ticks on her. She was a dump off, no one wanting her. I had to call the wife on her. I knew what the answer would be. She needs to always wear a training collar becuase when I let her out at 5 am, and she gets a scent, she'll never come back until she finds what she's looking for, which makes me late for work.

Shadow, our aussie mix. Again, a dump off. Long story, owner couldn't handle her as a pup and lied at the vets office (where we "found" her). She was our second dog. At first very insecure, always would follow you around no matter where you'd go. Thus her name. Now a completely different dog and very secure.

The third is Rose, our English Lab. Again, another long story, but wife my got her up in Vermont before she moved to North Carolina. On my first date with my then future wife (in North Carolina), when I was at her house I got on the floor and played with Rose. I always joke that at that point after some of the men my future wife dated, when Rose got along with me playing, my wife knew I was the man she was going to marry.

The fourth is not really ours, but since we've had her for going on two years, she feels like shes mine. Lexi, an American Staffshire Terrier. She was found under a trailer with 6 pups, only two survived. We don't know her "full" story, but we do know that she was shot at numerous times with a bb gun due to the bb's still located in her body. Out of the four dogs I've mentioned, she is by far the most loyal and obediant (sp?) dog that I have ever known.

Jim, I say that I don't have a dog anymore, but my wife has a female chihuahua that's 2 months short of being 2 years old (of course, the dog is lying at my feet in here right now while my wife is in the living room:D ).

But our youngest daughter has a pair of Maltese, and we were keeping them for her while she was out of town the last 4 days, as we've done at other times in the past. And when that little male Maltese and our female Chihuahua get to playing, I'd imagine it sounds like your two playing; sounds like a terrible fight going, and all that noise is coming from the little Maltese. The Chihuahua has a loud bark when she barks, but she never growls.

Anyway, here's my wife's dog, Dee.
