I thought this was going to be about Bill Bradley. Very interesting and a great civics lesson.
On the subject of Bradley, I recall a female talking head on tv during the time he was running for the Democrat nomination. She was pontificating how he got the nickname "Dollar Bill" for his sponsorship of tax legislation as a Senator. Child!!! He of course got the nickname in 1965 when, as a Princeton graduate and Rhodes scholar, he returned to the US with the then largest signing bonus in NBA history. Of course, by today's ridiculous NBA salaries, his bonus (maybe 500K) was puny.
