Your too old to change...
Too much common sense more likely. If it works why fix it. :D

We will corrupt you one of these days:D. Who knows if you come down here I will have you on my HST Kioti stacking rocks on the wall with the "wicked" grapple. And don't tell me you wouldn't have fun.

Yes James, that would be fun! I could be there in 2.5 hours, but the weather sucks right now!

Yes sir, it does. I am looking at freezing rain right now, and I am not liking it. Maybe later!

Well the "Delivery" is set for next Wednesday. "No looking back or regrets now!" Just glad the continual, indecision is over with....and can hopefully start sleeping now. I will be the new owner of a Kubota L 3800 HST 4WD. The standard bucket is being replaced with the SSQA FEL and adding a rear remote valve. Also ordered the Landpride 60" Rotary cutter and Landpride 60" box scraper. Now the wait/anticipation for next week starts. Can't wait for the springtime. Thanks to each one of you for your truthful inputs. "I feel like I'm waiting for the birth of one of my children" :drink:"

Congrats on the new ride. You will enjoy it.

When I bought mine, I finally decided that there was no such thing as the "perfect" tractor at the "perfect" price, so I just had to decide on one of them. I did and haven't regretted it, although I could have been very happy with the other "finalist" also.

I'm sure that L3800 will serve you well and will help you accomplish a lot of work. You will soon wonder how you ever got along without it. Of course, now you can begin searching for your next implement. We did mention, didn't we, that the search never ends? :D

Question is this...the FEL with tractor package I'm buying does not come with quick attach bucket, just standard FEL or any rear remotes. Should I get them now, before I bring my "new baby" home from the dealer??? Can any need be foreseen that I would really need them or can always get this done later? I'm also going to be purchasing a 5' rear cutter (with slip clutch I'm told being important??) and 5' box scraper that will be a necessity for the property I have. Thanks to ALL!

If your only going to be using it for the 6 acres you may not need the QA right off.

<snip> I have about 6 acres of field/timber/ditches property with a small 3/4 acre pond. I also have horses on the property with a large Wick building..half stable/half work shop. Because I'm continually fighting the vegetation that grows along property lines (weeds, spindly trees, etc) and along the pond banks, I need my tractor set up with FEL, BH and bush-hog capabilities.<snip>

But I'd DEFINITELY say get 2 sets of rear remotes.

And we need pictures!

Here's the pics of the new tractor. Still waiting for the block heater to be installed, as there is a delay with Kubota getting the part to my dealer. Can't wait to use it and just waiting for a "small" break in temps..."anything around freezing" would be a freakin heat wave right now! Thanks to all the TBN friends for all the input and what a great sight this is and will remain to be for "well-thought out, experienced" advice!

I just went through the seemingly endless tractor search also. It's finally a good day when you buy one and get it delivered. Congrats on the new ride.
