Well!
If you would only wipe your feet, before using that step, this sort of thing wouldn't be such a problem.
Harrumph!
Congrats on the new machine, and may you have lots of bare metal to show us in future posts.

I wouldn't touch a thing. The wear areas on my L3200 step and floor stay shiny from repeated use. Never seen a spec of rust there. Repainting or other coating would be a waste in my opinion.

Me, I like to see gentle signs of use like that. Gives the tractor a more casual feel, if you know what I mean. New shiny stuff makes me nervous.

94BULLIT like James k0ua used truck bed liner on his for added traction, I may do that for the same reason, but I really don't pay much attention to cosmetics on my machines if it doesn't involve rust or other damage.

I would be totally embarrassed to get on a tractor looking like that, with a wear spot on the step! But then, I do keep a handy cheap $12/can of genuine Kubota spray paint in my tool box.

Good advice though - don't put your foot on the step - just jump up onto the seat. If you're old and decrepit like I am though, you might just take your shoes off when mounting that little honey.

Obtain a rattle can of Kubota Paint from the Dealer in each color, grey and orange, lightly sand the area with some 600 grit sand paper, mask off the surrounding area and paint it. Let dry for about a day and keep on using and grinning.

Like they say on a new pickup - load a couple cement blocks in the bed, drive around a bit, remove the blocks and you wont worry about the paint anymore. Will cement blocks fit on the Bota?

Somebody is trying to pull somebody's leg here. That's a picture of the sun shining on the step. You can see the outline/shadow of the steering wheel. HA...
