Done wore this new tractor out!

Somebody is trying to pull somebody's leg here. That's a picture of the sun shining on the step. You can see the outline/shadow of the steering wheel. HA...

The sun has worn that tractor out! I thot Kubs were more durable. Mine seem to be. ... Course I judge solely by performance.

Good advice though - don't put your foot on the step - just jump up onto the seat. If you're old and decrepit like I am though, you might just take your shoes off when mounting that little honey.

I am young and could easily get on without the step, but getting off would be harder. I really don't care if the paint is worn off the step, so I use it.

Say what??? :laughing: At 59, I'm not doing any jumping...lol. Say, I always wondered how those old timey cowboy movies would show the guy leaping off of a second story balcony onto the saddle. If I had ever done that, I would still be singing very high tenor. :ashamed:

I'd doubt if I repainted it, that the stuff would do any better.

I think you should mount a boot scraper on the step, and then only wear white soled shoes, sorry couldn't resist. Nice tractor!

The sun is shining too brightly off the paint to see where the edge of the step is wearing away. Where my boot heel hits against the edge climbing up. Sort of like putting a boot into a stirrup. The floor board is also wearing pretty good. No leg pulling or nuk nuk nuk (three stoogies) here...lol

give it a year or two, and you will see the metal wearing away too.
Just like the clutch pedals on our old tractors.
If it bothers you, swing by a truck store.
A piece of diamond plate bling would look right at home on that very nice! shiny machine.

I have a friend with a JD 790 that is more of a garage queen than a tool. Does a little yard work and that's it. I'm threatening to put a box blade or a hog on it and give it 8 hours of use. Just to blow the carbon out of it.
